Day 2

Exploration on Amabere caves, Tooro Palace and Sempaya Hot springs

We start off our morning with breakfast at 10:00am in the whispering sounds of nature at our lodge, with packed lunch we emabark on the road for our first activity, we shall have a drive of 1 hour and 20 minutes with scenic views like the western arm rift valley that cuts across 10 countries all the from the middle east to south Africa along side massive views of the Rwenzori.

On arrival, we shall visit the male and female hot springs that boil at a 93 degrees celicuis constant all year. Here we shall participate in a cooking activity of boiling eggs or any other preferred cooked item.

We shall then set off for the Amabere caves and also have lunch on route, on arrival at the Amabere caves we shall have a site visit with a local guide that will take us through this trekking activity that lasts 40 minutes.

We shall drive to the Tooro palace where we shall have a site visit with a local guide.

We then head back to the lodge in the late afternoon for a campfire, relaxation and dinner.

Day 3

Hiking Karangura low ranges of Mountain Rwenzori

In the morning at 6:00am we have breakfast, grab our packed lunch and drive to the park entrance of the Rwenzori park, After we have been briefed, we shall embark on an exhilarating journey to conquer Karangura Peak, nestled in the foothills of the majestic Rwenzori Mountains.

Led by experienced guides, the hike promises a thrilling adventure through lush forests and rugged terrain. As you ascend, soak in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, with its sprawling valleys and distant peaks.

Feel the rush of adrenaline as you reach the summit, where a sense of accomplishment awaits.

Karangura Peak offers not just a physical challenge, but an opportunity to connect with nature and embrace the spirit of exploration. This activity takes 5 hours and is truly worth it.

On your arrival our guide will be waiting for you and we head back to the lodge where you will relax from the days activity experince as you wait on dinner enjoying the sunset views.

Day 4

Exploration of Tooro Botanical gardens visit and Tooro Cultural Experience

On this day we shall start activities in a relaxed format which means you will choose what time you opt to wake up and have breakfast. We shall head to the Tooro Botanical Gardens located in the heart of Fort Portal city late morning.

The garden boasts a diverse collection of plant species, including indigenous trees, shrubs, flowers, and medicinal plants. Here you will explore various themed gardens showcasing different ecosystems.

This activity will take 2 hours after which we shall head into Fort Portal town to a local restaurant where you will have a choice of the local dish delicacies of the region. In the afternoon we shall head to a cultural center that was established by his royal highness of the region, here we shall have a cultural experince known as the pet naming ceremony, and storytelling and also partake in local communal activities like spliting firewood, weaving, millet grinding among others.

We head back to the Lodge in the evening have dinner plus campfire.

Day 5

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park and Bigodi Community Experience

Chimpanzee Trek & Wetlands Exploration

• Morning Trek (7:00 AM):
Wake up at 6:00 AM for an exciting day.
Breakfast at 6:30 AM.
Head to park headquarters by 7:00 AM.
Briefing by rangers.
Group trek with an armed ranger.
Encounter chimpanzees in their habitat.
Capture memorable moments with videos and photographs.

• Lunch & Relaxation:
Lodge return for a delicious lunch.
Short relaxation to recharge.

• Afternoon Exploration (3:00 PM):
Head to Bigodi wetlands for a swamp walk.
Local guide enhances biodiversity exploration.
Spot birds like the great blue turaco.
Observe primates in their habitat.

• Evening Relaxation:
Return for relaxation and reflection.
